Is there a city anywhere in the world as complex, eclectic and diverse as Istanbul? Throughout history it’s always been, and continues to be, the ultimate link between East and West, the old and the new, the old-fashioned and the exotic.

The city has existed for as long as anyone can remember, from the days when it was Byzantium and then Constantinople and then the Istanbul of today. It has always been the region’s prosperous center of trade, art and culture, and even now this gigantic city never stops growing.

Today, Istanbul is a worldly, cosmopolitan mecca that promises travelers jaw dropping historical monuments, such as the Hagia Sophia, as well as the most cutting edge and fashionable pleasures, including internationally-renowned mega clubs, top luxury hotels and super hip cafés (Istanbul’s café game is ridiculously on point!). Not to mention the city feeds and takes care of its stray cats, so there are adorable street cats galore!

There’s no other city that immaculately blends together history and the modern. Istanbul is a truly unique place beyond compare that should be on every traveler’s bucket list!
