SEE: The Langham, Hong Kong Shares Top 5 Must-Do’s

Hong Kong The Langham Hotel

Hong Kong has long been THE Asian destination for global travelers. Before Shanghai, there was the cosmopolitan metropolis of Hong Kong. Before Tokyo, there was the vibrant city lights in Hong Kong. Before the rise of Taipei 101 Tower, there was the iconic Victoria Harbor.

A city welcoming millions of travelers annually, Hong Kong has never experienced a shortage of five-star luxury hotels. But few standout above all, and few have stood the test of time.

Situated in The Sun Arcade, The Langham, Hong Kong 香港朗廷酒店 is in the midst of Hong Kong’s lively shopping district. Its 498 lavish rooms feature marble bathrooms, city or courtyard views, hi-tech equipments and not to mention: free Wi-Fi. Last winter, the hotel’s Cantonese restaurant T’ang Court ascended to 3-star status in the 2016 Michelin Guide, meanwhile The Langham Hong Kong also collaborated with Ladurée, releasing exclusive Langham flavored macaron with confection designed then delivered from Paris.

The Langham never steers too far from extravagance, but it always focuses on the root of local culture and traditions. When we needed a list of recommendations for must-do’s in Hong Kong, we knew who to ask. The award-winning hotel gave us the perfect top 5 list, so your trip stays straight to the point!

5. Charter A Junk.

Hong Kong isn’t just a city; in fact it’s a sprawling archipelago of 260 islands with rugged coastlines and deserted coves. The best way to visit is by hiring a “junk“, which is a term formerly applied to traditional Chinese fishing boats but now refers to any motorized vessels. Pack a picnic and icebox full of beer and wine (or get it catered), and set off through the scattered islets. Find a remote location to drop anchor and dive off the deck for a swim.
