How To Throw A Classy Bachelorette Weekend In Paris

Paris bachelorette party

Sure, it’ll be a few days of unlimited boozing and guaranteed debauchery. But there’s still a way to do it all with a dash of class, especially in the City of Light.

Friday night:

Find a hot party in town like the one at Opéra Garnier.

8 Rue Scribe, 75009 Paris, France (map, website)

Kick off the weekend on a high note to get the momentum going! Opéra Garnier has a good size party going on, both indoor and outdoor with a huge terrace. The crowd is generally composed of Parisians in their late twenties to thirties, with lots of drinks flowing around. Admission is free if you sign up on Facebook, but drinks aren’t complimentary. There’s a section inside for dancing and music pumped up to get your adrenaline buzzing.

Brunch at home, in pajamas, of course.

Most likely, you’ll be a little hungover and won’t want to start the day too early. Brunch at home sounds like the perfect idea, especially if the itinerary is already full for the day. Drink up glasses of orange juice and good ol’ H2O with eggs and baguettes in tow.

Take a bath at Les Bains du Marais.

31-33 Rue des Blancs Manteaux, 75004 Paris, France (map, website)

The best way to detox after a night out is a good hour (or two) in the steam room and sauna. Similar to spa days in the U.S.,  les bains (translation: baths) has become a popular bachelorette must-do in Paris. Located in trendy Le Marais, Les Bains du Marais is a fantastic locale for total relaxation. Don’t be surprised if you run into groups of other bachelorette parties and a famous rugby star like we did. Bonjour, Fabien Galthié!

Get pampered at The Nail Kitchen.

36 Rue de la Verrerie, 75004 Paris, France (map, website)

This was my ultimate glee moment when I saw the nail bar shining inside the BHV department store. Schedule your appointments at the same time, you and your girlfriends can take over the entire bar. The best part about The Nail Kitchen is that it uses Kure Bazaar, which is non-toxic and natural nail polish. Holla, eco-pride!

High tea, sweet macarons at Ladurée.

16 Rue Royale, 75008 Paris, France (map, website)

It’s a nice 20-minute walk from BHV to Ladurée on Rue Royale (next to Place de Madeleine.) The most famous tea salon in the world offers colorful macarons tempting even a non-sweet tooth like me to indulge in these luscious pastries. A Parisian tea salon is a must-stop for a bachelorette weekend! We opted for Ladurée, but you can certainly choose to devour hot chocolate at Angelina instead. Both are equally quintessential girly venues.

Nap, if necessary. Then, champagne!

It’s going to be a long night, make sure to get some rest before sipping on bubblies. All cleaned up and beautified!

Dine on trend at Bespoke.

3 Rue Oberkampf, 75011 Paris, France (map, website)

Bespoke is the new twist on cocktail bars with a delectable menu delivering fancy corn dogs, meatballs and sliders. Don’t miss the pulled pork slider and sweet potato fries. They might not sound like your typical elegant, classy dishes but they are so well punctuated, leaving you wanting for more. Cocktails are refined and tasteful according to seasons. I fell in love with the Summer Cooler while others might go for Capri C’est Fini (rum, balsamic vinegar, cherry tomato, a dash of sugar, and fresh lemon juice with a cherry tomato and mozzarella ball on a stick.)

Have your Sex & the City moment with drinks at Kong.

1 Rue du Pont Neuf, 75001 Paris, France (map, website)

Remember that scene in Sex and the City when Carrie meets Petrovsky’s ex-wife in Season 6? The restaurant with faces on the chairs designed by Philippe Starck? That’s Kong! The scene was shot in the restaurant area, but at night, the bar becomes one of the most stylish and hip places to be in Paris. Located right on Pont Neuf, in a cosmopolitan building. Think Paris, think Japan, think Louis XV armchairs!

Be a dancing queen at Le Queen.

102 Av. des Champs-Élysées, 75008 Paris, France (map, website)

There’s no better way to end a night on Champs-Élysées, in addition to grimy dancing on stages inside the club. Formerly known as the largest gay club in Paris, today’s Le Queen is still a happenin’ hotspot hosting the world’s most renowned DJs including David Guetta and Steve Aoki. The perfect place to shake your booty ’til dawn.

This day was pouring with rain in Paris, so we stayed in, ordered Thai food and pigged out in front of the TV. But here’s what we would’ve done, if we were sober enough to be motivated. Rain or shine!

Day trip and sunbath on the beaches of Deauville.

Situated in Normandy, Deauville is a beach resort town typically welcoming the French bourgeoisie. The rich from Paris who want a bit of sun as a getaway from the city without traveling all the way to the south of France. Deauville requires a 2.5 hours of driving, you can opt for day trip or spend the night.
