A few weeks ago, actress Judith Light (Who’s the Boss, Transgender) admitted during an interview that she prefers to wear all her clothes to the airport to avoid the hassle of waiting at the baggage claim.

Apparently, she isn’t the only one.

Scottish boy band Rewind’s member James McElvar wore four jumpers, six T-shirts,two jackets, two hats, three pairs of jeans and two pairs of jogging bottoms so he didn’t have to pay USD $70 fee on an EasyJet flight from London Stansted to Glasgow.

Unfortunately, he fainted from heat exhaustion. Oops.

Paramedics arrived to help and said McElvar was lucky to be alive. The singer vomited and was given oxygen.  According to DailyMail, the singer is sunken in deep regret and confessed:

It was impossible to walk, I could barely get on the plane. I wanted to take them all off as soon as I got to my seat – beside which was a spare seat that I could have sat one of my bags on – but was told I had to wait until we were up in the air.

When the plane took off, he grew sick and started to move inside the plane. An off-duty paramedic was watching over him. When the plane landed, an ambulance immediately took the ill entertainer to the hospital where he began to feel normal again.

The incident has garnered international attention, so much so that RyanAir offered McElvar two free bags at check-in and it luggage also offered the 19-year-old singer new cabin cases.
