Apple Pay Is On JetBlue & This Is How You Can Pay In-Flight

Get your iPhone 6 ready: Apple Pay is coming to JetBlue…NEXT WEEK!

According to USA Today, if you’ve got an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus (or an Apple Watch by April), you’ll be able to pay for your food, drinks and other services by using Apple Pay.

JetBlue in-flight staff will no longer be using the older machines to collect payments. Instead, 3,500 NFC-enabled iPad Minis will be utilized. Say good-bye to printing out receipts, everything will be completely electronic.

How it works: you’ll hold the iPhone 6 next to the flight attendant’s iPad Mini. Be sure to keep your finger on your smartphone’s fingerprint scanner.

Since its roll out in September 2014, Apple Pay has influenced $2 out of $3 spent on purchases using contactless payment via 3 major card networks in the U.S..

In regards to Google Wallet, JetBlue plans on such accommodations later on in the future.
