The glorious Tuscan city of Florence is one of Italy´s most beloved cities thanks to its gorgeous views and architecture along the Arno River. Other than the essential, historic sites like Il Duomo and Ponte Vecchio, Florence has tons of lovely, picturesque cafes, restaurants and of course, shopping boutiques that are awesome to visit. The upstairs of this spacious indoor market is a lovely food court that presents delicious Italian dishes such as freshly baked Napoli pizza, pastries, local cheeses and truffles. The market itself is beautifully decorated with lots of seating areas—perfect for grabbing a casual lunch in the city center.

2. Osteria All’antico Vinaio on Via De’Neri

On either side of Via De’Neri right around the corner from the Uffizi gallery is a deli that serves sandwiches with amazing, fresh ingredients. The authentic Italian cold cuts such as the salami and the house special mortadella with cheese and truffle spread on hot focaccia is to die for. Due to immense popularity there is always a line out the door on both sides of the street but trust me when I say that the long wait is absolutely worth it!

3. Boutiques around Via Porta Rossa

The streets around Via Porta Rossa are especially nice and feature high profile brands such as Roberto Cavalli and Prada. It´s a great place to have a stroll, where you will feel just as fabulous window shopping as you would splurging on brand name shoes and ball gowns.

This beautiful space in the historic Palazzo Strozzi holds temporary art exhibitions that are totally worth checking out. The current exhibition features the works of modern artists from Spain with breathtaking paintings from greats such as Picasso, Miró and Dalí. With gallery space that spans multiple floors, Palazzo Strozzi is a top notch museum to spend the day in when the line for the Uffizi is much too long.
